22-FebSummertime
 

An image the captures the essence and feeling of the season of summer in Australia. Beaches, bbqs,
sunny weather, summer parties, ice-creams, sweating, holidays, Christmas in Australia, bushfires,
harvests…. Anything you feels demonstrates the essence of summer in Australia.

29-MarMONO street
 Street photography is a genre of photography that captures the day-to-day life of people in a public
setting. Your task is to capture at a candid image in a public setting that contains at least 1 human. The
image must be monochrome – i.e. in black/white/greyscale or in varying tones of only one colour (e.g.
Sepia, or cyan as examples).
26-AprCurves
 Curves can be found in nature, on buildings, people and abstracts. Show us where you found some
curves, which should be the predominant feature of the image.
31-MayFauna – birds, bees, bugs, domestic, wild.
 

Capture any animal life of your own choice in any setting. The image must be devoid of humans

28-JunStill life
 

Create a work of art depicting mostly inanimate subject matter, using common objects which are either
natural (food, flowers, dead animals, plants, rocks, shells, etc.) or man-made. Use natural or artificial
lighting or a combination.

26-JulMacro and closeup – NOT an animal or flower
 Take a macro or a closeup of an object that is not an animal, or a flower.
30-AugReflections
 

Reflection photos refer to any shot, no matter what type of photography genre, that uses a reflective
surface. Note – refraction photographs will not be accepted

27-SepMusic
 

Capture an image of or about music e.g. musicians, bands, concerts, dancing, instruments, practicing,
playing, repairing instruments, recording and playing devices, CDs, records, tapes… You are limited only
by your imagination.

25-OctNIGHT scape – image
 

Capture an image outdoors between dusk and dawn. Dusk is the period of partial darkness between day
and night You can use artificial lighting, long exposures, exposing shots for seconds, minutes or even
hours to capture a desirable image.
